Service Learning Proposal

Please review this packet thoroughly and sign it.  Have your son/ daughter turn it in to their government teacher.

            Look over the list of approved project placements in this packet.  Decide on where it would be best for your child to complete their service learning requirements.  Be sure to choose a placement that is nearby and or something of interest to your child.  Please help them contact the organization as soon as possible. The students will be responsible for their own transportation, but you will need to contact your teacher if transportation becomes an issue.  The list of pre-approved projects will always count as long as they are completed and accompanied by the appropriate sign-off sheets from the organization.  Failure to provide the sign-off sheets, or failure to complete the projects on time will result in a failure of the assignment.  If you have any questions regarding service learning or the syllabus please contact the appropriate government teacher.  Also, if you change your placement to a non-approved agency, the project WILL NOT COUNT unless you have submitted a change to your child’s teacher in writing before the due date of the projects.
